FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Each session costs £1, however you can attend one trial session for free. Payments are made through our booking app so there's no need to bring money with you.

Couch to 5K programmes run in 10 week blocks and cost £35, which is payable on the first night. This can be paid in cash (please bring exact money) or by cheque payable to JogScotland Westhill.

WHAT KIT DO I NEED?

Comfort and safety are key! We recommend well-fitting trainers for all, and sports bras for women. Other than that, any comfortable clothing is fine. We also recommend high-visibility clothing be worn when jogging, especially during the winter and any other times of low light. Club t-shirts are available for members to buy at a subsidised cost.

IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?

Runners must be at least 18 years old. There is no upper age limit.

WHAT KIND OF TRAINING DO THE JOG LEADERS HAVE?

Our Jog Leaders have completed a full day course delivered by Scottish Athletics. This includes classroom and practical work, covering all aspects of running a session, from the warm up to the cool down.

I CAN'T RUN VERY FAST. WILL I HOLD OTHERS BACK?

Not at all! We have a range of groups to suit different paces and no-one ever gets left behind at JogScotland. Your leader will tailor the session to suit all runners in their group.

It is made up of hundreds of jogging groups located right across Scotland, meeting in sports centres, community halls, parks and businesses, and jogging on their local paths, pavements and trails. Groups are led by qualified Jog Leaders (mostly volunteers), who guide and inspire their members.
